When you have a large, a very large collection of music, it can be a big pain to manage it. Develop Fotis Software aims to alleviate that pain by offering a good looking and easy to use application that lets you create and manage a library of all your music. That application is the appropriately named AllMySongs Database.

Should you decide to give the application a try, the first step you must take is to download a 10.7MB installation file onto your computer (it won’t take long on a high-speed internet connection). The next step is to run that file and go through the steps presented by a setup wizard. You should have no problems installing AllMySongs Database on a Windows 2003, XP, Vista, or Windows 7-powered computer. Once the installation process is over, you will be asked to reboot your machine.

The interface is typical of an application of this sort. There are several panes, each with its specific function – a list of tracks to Albums to the left, a preview window for the tracks in an album in the middle, and info on the album/artist down at the bottom.

Speaking about info on albums and artists, the nice thing about AllMySongs Database is that it can automatically download such data from the web. AllMySongs Database can download photos of artists, their biographies, album cover art, and lyrics. Another thing this application can do is automatically scan your disk for music files, recognize audio CDs, and import tag info.

There are plenty of things you can do manually. You can edit info such as the Title, Artist, Album, Composer, Genre, and so on, you can create playlists, you can sort the database as you see fit, you can customize the way the application looks with skins, and you can play songs with AllMySongs Database or with your media player. The application has a built-in player that will play your audio files; it can also launch your media player and playback the track you selected.

If you have a very large music collection, it can be hard to find a specific track. Not with AllMySongs Database – the application has a powerful search feature.

AllMySongs Database is shareware. You can use the trial version for as long as you want, but you must contend with a 100 tracks limit.

AllMySongs Database makes it very easy to create and manage your collection of music.

Pros

Works with XP, Vista, and Windows 7; it is very easy to install the application on those operating systems. You can use skins to customize the applicaton’s interface. Easily create a database of all your music. AllMySongs Database can automatically scan your disk for music files, it can download tags, lyrics, biographies, and more. Create playlists, play tracks within AllMySongs Database. You can use the demo version for as long as you want.

Cons

As already mentioned, you can use the demo version for as long as you want, but it is limited to 100 tracks.
